My name is Anthony Walther, or Tony Walther, if you will. I was not raised as ethnic German. I’m pretty much your normal Heinz 57-Variety American, born and raised in the USA. But, my last name is German, it’s Walther, not von Walther , but I thought the latter would be more catchy for a name on my German-American blog. So, the point of this blog is to write about things German or German-American. I don’t speak German, but I have tried to learn some on my own. I also served more than two years in Germany while I was in the U.S. Army. Comments and suggestions concerning my blog are welcome. There is a provision for that at the end of each post, thanks to WordPress. It seems to me that if other folks can celebrate their ethnicity, I should be able to as well. I’m USA through and through, but also proud of my German heritage.
